The Snake plant is said to prefer moderate to bright light, however it will grow anywhere. Prefers to be watered once every 7 - 10 days thoroughly, allowing the soil to dry in between waterings. If the foliage begins to droop, you are probably over watering. If the foliages begins to wrinkle or bend over you are not providing enough water. This houseplant prefers to be pot bound, so avoid repotting unless the current pot is too small to keep upright.

Division and leaf cuttings (let the cut end dry out first) in the summer. Early summer, Early fall, Early spring, Early winter, Late summer, Late fall, Late spring, Late winter, Mid summer, Mid fall, Mid spring, Mid winter Propagate them in evenly moist soil, mist occasionally and keep in filtered sunlight until they are growing.

A good remover of formaldehyde, xylene and toluene from the atmosphere.

Produces large amounts of oxygen at night making it an excellent choice for the bedroom.
