Wait until the soil has dried down about half the soil depth. When you water, thoroughly water the soil evenly making sure the soil and roots have all had a good drink. don’t place it in afternoon sun. Morning sun or bright filtered light is fine but the afternoon sun can bleach out the foliage.

A good remover of ammonia, formaldehyde, benzene, toluene and trichloroethylene from the atmosphere.

Seeds in the spring through at anytime. It is best to propagate seeds in a mixture of moist peat and perlite. Cover the pot and plant with a plastic bag secured by a rubber band to prevent the moisture from escaping. Place in indirect sunlight or under a fluorescent light. Repot in its regular mix after it has been growing for a while. the plant can be divided but expect heavy die back of palm fronds and a slow recovery. Propagation is not recommended.
