Anthurium andraeanum
A good remover of ammonia from the surrounding atmosphere, also removes formaldehyde and xylene.
The Anthurium prefers bright indirect light. Requires low to medium amounts of water. Let soil dry out between waterings. Requires proper drainage. Be sure your pot has drainage holes. Put 1 to 2 inches of pebble stone in the bottom of the pot. The Anthurium requires a slightly higher level of humidity. Mist weekly. Gnats can be a problem. Keep soil clean from dead foliage and do not allow water to sit in the drain tray. Spray with soap and water.
Division and offsets in the spring. After dividing plant, pot in the plant's regular potting mix.
